Giclée Printing, Art Scanning and Reproduction

True-to-life reproductions, any size with Giclée Fine Art Reproductions.

Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") reproductions were originally developed in 1989 as a plate-less method of fine art printing. The word Giclée is French for "to spray". The images are scanned and digitally stored in a computer and sent directly to a high-resolution printer. Unlike other printing methods, each image is sent to the printer individually.

Art Scanning Services:

Photography of the original pieces of work or scanning of transparencies (35mm up to 8x10) of the original pieces is available. We photograph all original works to, at least, a file size of 40 Megs+ @ 300 DPI. File size determined by the finished printed size requested in the order by the artist. We take the utmost care of all original work and transparencies sent for reproduction. All original work must be out of frames and all shipping and handling is charged to the client.

We Proof and Archive

Ditprints.com will archive the image for future orders. All jobs will be proofed at 8-1/2 x 11 on the actual material. Additional proofing will be performed upon request. The color proof that you select for your edition must be returned before your print order can be processed. This proof is kept on file during the printing process, then archieved to assure consistent color matching for future printings.
